Are you the world’s strongest? Well, then we want you!
We want the SBD Official Strongman Games to gather the absolute best athletes from all over the world. That is why we have multiple methods to earn an invite.
Top 10 - automatic Invite
Top 10 athletes from the prior year
If you made the finals last year, you have an automatic invite for the next year’s Official Strongman Games.
Online Qualifier
Worldwide online qualifier
We want everyone to have an equal chance to earn an invite. Don’t have a large following on Instagram? We don’t care. Just video a few lifts of you in your garage or gym and we’ll rank you against everyone else. If you are in the top (and followed directions) you get an invite!
Make sure you have an account set up with Official Strongman.
Regional Contests
National Championships can be a qualifier
We want to be inclusive and include the best from every region. We have partnered with contests worldwide, and those events will directly qualify athletes for the Official Strongman Games.
Direct Invite
We reserve the right to invite anyone
If you are an athlete that has been competing at the highest level and are without a doubt, one of the strongest in the world in your division. We may simply send you a direct invite. (example: Big Z doesn’t need to do the online qualifier even if he skips a year due to injury. )
If you think you are one of the best, and you cannot do the online qualifier, please contact us and give your info and a strong reason for why you should be invited.
Divisions
We have the rights to the World’s Strongest title for 11 different divisions.
We also are one of the only ways to get an invite to Giants Live and get on your path to WSM.
Open Men
Giants Live Qualifier
Top 3 athletes get an invite to Giants Live. We have become the path to WSM and have the top HW athletes competing year after year. If you see yourself competing at WSM one day, you need to compete at the Official Strongman Games.
U105kg Men
World’s Strongest Man under 105kg
The official World’s Strongest title. If you are the best and compete under 231lb/105kg, you should be competing here.
u90kg Men
World’s Strongest Man under 90kg
The official World’s Strongest title. If you are the best and compete under 198lb/90kg, you should be competing here.
u80kg Men
World’s Strongest Man under 80kg
The official World’s Strongest title. If you are the best and compete under 176lb/80kg, you should be competing here.
Masters Men 40+
Masters World’s Strongest Man 40+
The official World’s Strongest title. If you are the best and are over 40 years old, you should be competing here.
Masters Men 50+
Masters World’s Strongest Man 50+
The official World’s Strongest title. If you are the best and are over 50 years old, you should be competing here.
