Earn your invite to the 2024 OSG World Final
The 2024 OSG World Final online qualifier
July 1st - August 31st
We will be inviting the TOP 10 from each division to the 2024 OSG World Final.
Video submissions will STOP on September 1st.
You DO NOT need to weigh in during the videos.
You will choose your division in your profile. (For example: If you walk around at 242lbs / 110kg but compete at 231lbs / 105kg, you would choose 105kg as your division.)
Competition videos are NOT accepted. You must do the lift and film it as required.
Videos will be reviewed in the beginning of September and invites sent mid to late September.
The Events
Log 2 Rep Max
Athlete will perform a log clean and press 2 times for maximum weight within 60 seconds.
Video Requirements:
Video must be one continuous shot.
Immediately before or after the press is performed, the weight must be confirmed on camera.
Option 1 - The camera must zoom in close to the weights on the bar to confirm weight being lifted. This will require removing the weights individually to ensure the camera can confirm weights.
Option 2 - The entire implement may be weighed and the result shown on camera.
The log must be weighed on video to confirm weight.
Rules:
Log can be cleaned from the ground or from pads below knees.
For the lift to count, feet must be in line with each other and head must be in line with the arms. Elbow, knees, and hips must be locked out and stable.
Log can be any size or type but must be a diameter between 10in/25cm - 13in/33cm.
All supportive gear is allowed.
Press, push press, push jerk, and split jerk allowed.
Implement cannot touch your head at any point.
Each rep must begin from the ground or pads.
Your score is the weight of the log in LBS or KG.
Axle Deadlift 1 Rep Max
Athlete will perform a conventional deadlift with an axle 1 time for maximum weight.
Video Requirements:
Video must be one continuous shot.
Immediately before or after the deadlift is performed, the weight must be confirmed on camera.
Option 1 - The camera must zoom in close to the weights on the bar to confirm weight being lifted. This will require removing the weights individually to ensure the camera can confirm weights.
Option 2 - The entire implement may be weighed and the result shown on camera.
The axle must be weighed on video to confirm weight.
Rules:
Axle must be at least 1.9in/4.8cm.
Deadlift height must be from standard size weight plates and from the ground without pads.
For the lift to count, athlete must demonstrate full lockout with their hips and knees locked out, and their shoulders neutral.
All supportive gear is allowed. (Including deadlift suits)
Straps and chalk are allowed.
Dropping the bar from the top at lockout is NOT allowed. (You must have control on the way down. Your knees and hips must release before your hands.)
Sumo is NOT allowed. (Hands must be wider than knees)
Your score is the weight of the deadlift in LBS or KG.
Sandbag Carry for Rounds within 60 Seconds
Athlete will pick up from the ground and carry a sandbag 20ft/6m and drop it. The athlete will then repeat this process back and forth for as many rounds as possible within 60 seconds.
Video Requirements:
Video must be one continuous shot.
Immediately before or after the lift is performed, the sandbag weight and course distance must be confirmed on camera.
The sandbag must be weighed on video to confirm weight.
Rules:
Sandbag weight must be within 5lb/2.27kg of the following weights for your division:
308.5lb/140kg Sandbag
Mens - Open
264.5lb/120kg Sandbag
Mens - 105kg
Mens Masters 40+
Mens - 90kg
220.5lb/100kg Sandbag
Mens Masters 40+ - 105kg
Mens - 80kg
Mens Masters 50+
176.5lb/80kg Sandbag
Womens - Open
Womens - 82kg
Womens - 73kg
Womens Masters 40+
132.5lb/60kg Sandbag
Womens Masters 40+ LW - 73kg
Womens - 64kg
Womens Masters 50+
Sandbag must be a standard cylinder shape and style.
Sandbag must start from the ground.
All supportive gear is allowed.
Your score is the number of rounds completed within 60 seconds.
Max Weight Yoke Carry for 20ft/6m within 60 Seconds
Athlete will pick up from the ground and carry a yoke 20ft/6m for maximum weight within 60 seconds.
Video Requirements:
Video of the Yoke carry must be one continuous shot, but the weighing of the yoke can be a separate video spliced to the beginning or the end of the video. (This allows a gym to weigh the yoke once and share that video for athletes to add to their videos)
Immediately before or after the yoke carry is performed, the weight must be confirmed on camera.
Option 1 - The camera must zoom in close to the weights on the yoke to confirm weight being lifted. This will require removing the weights individually to ensure the camera can confirm weights.
Option 2 - The entire implement may be weighed and the result shown on camera.
The yoke must be weighed on video to confirm weight.
Rules:
No touching, dropping, or sliding allowed.
Once picked up, the yoke is not allowed to touch the ground at any point during the 20ft/6m carry.
All supportive gear is allowed.
Your score is the weight of the yoke in LBS or KG.
How to submit your videos
Step 1:
Create an account or login to your existing account.
Note: There is a cost to the membership at www.OfficialStrongman.com.
Step 2:
Go to the Profile page in the top navigation.
Step 3:
Update your profile to include:
Age
Bodyweight
Country
Gender
NOTE: You won’t appear on the leaderboard without this information.
Steps 4 - 6:
Locate the EVENT section on the right.
For each event listed, click on the NOT ENTERED button.
A window will appear, choose your file and upload your video.
Type in the weight lifted in kilograms or pounds based on your account preferences.
Step 7:
Go to the Ranking page.
Confirm you show up on the rankings page.
Confirm your videos load correctly.
